A Little Ritual for the Darker Days

Hi love,

As the evenings grow darker, I find myself drawn to the small comforts — a warm cup, soft light, and a few minutes when nothing needs my attention.

Between work, herbal studies, and creating for Raven & Crow Apothecary, those moments can be easy to skip. There’s always something else I could finish.

Maybe you know that feeling, too.

This week, I’m making room for a simple evening ritual. I’d love for you to join me.

🌙 A Moment to Settle

You don’t need a special occasion or a beautifully arranged altar. Start wherever you are.

  • 🕯 Light a candle on a clear, heat-safe surface.

  • ☕ Make a cup of your favorite tea.

  • 📓 Put your phone aside and open a journal.

  • ✨ Ask yourself: What can wait until tomorrow?

Write a sentence, a whole page, or nothing at all. Let your tea and a few quiet minutes be enough.

Extinguish your candle before leaving the room or settling into sleep.

🌿 A Note from My Herbal Studies

One practice I’m bringing into my studies is paying closer attention before rushing to make something.

The scent of a dried herb. The texture of a leaf. The way an infusion changes color as it steeps.

There’s value in learning slowly and asking questions. I want to carry that same care into the things I create for the apothecary.

🔥 Behind the Scenes

I’m shaping The Raven’s Letter Ritual Box around this idea of everyday comfort: a hand-poured candle, a soap bar, and a printed seasonal ritual card.

Something to give, or something to enjoy yourself. I’ll share more when the first collection is ready.

🖤 Until Next Time

If your days have felt full lately, I hope you’ll give yourself a few unhurried minutes this week.

And if you’d like to write back, I’d love to know: What small ritual helps you settle at the end of the day?

With love + smoke,
